SUBJECT:      EXPLOITATION OF THE INFIRMED / KASEY LYNN THOMAS

PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Kasey Lynn Thomas, 33, of 3605 East Highland Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona, in connection with an orchestrated theft from a Pierre Part man who was suffering from physical infirmities.

Thomas is the fourth suspect to be charged in the case.

Thomas who also had an alternate address of 33155 Gracie Court, Plaquemine, LA, turned herself into Morgan City Police on Friday and was transported to Assumption Parish for booking.

Thomas, Terrie Lynn Ganel, 50, of 125 Mam and Pap St., Pierre Part and Addie Breaux, 35, of 321 Shell Beach Road, Pierre Part are charged in the case following the July 2017 incident.  Warrants against Austin Albarado, 25, of 111 Rue de Kajun, Pierre Part, LA, remain outstanding.

The victim reported that the four suspects visited the victim’s home and stole cash, a bankcard as well as other items.

Detectives determined that Ganel planned the crime, transported the other suspects to the home, then drove to a Morgan City motel after the incident.

Investigators recovered evidence from the motel linking all four suspects to the crime.

Thomas was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on a warrant for Exploitation of the Infirmed.  She was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
