BELLE RIVER – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Tima L. Garret, 29, of 934 Bayou Drive, Pierre Part, LA, in connection with the Unlawful Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling in Belle River, LA.

On January 13, 2018, deputies responded to a complaint from a homeowner who indicated that he had been notified by the Sheriff’s Office that Tima L. Garret and a second suspect, Douglas K. Ferris, 31, of 311 Eagle Point Lane, Pierre Part, LA, had entered his home illegally.

The shift deputy made contact with the victim and subsequently identified Ferris and Tima Garrett as suspects. 

Based on the victim’s statement as well as other circumstances, Ferris was previously arrested and remains incarcerated in the Assumption Parish Detention Center on these charges:

            *Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

            *Possession of Stolen Things

            *Unauthorized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling

Tima L. Garret was arrested on Wednesday afternoon, January 25, 2018, and booked on a count of:

            *Unauthorized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling

Garret remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
