SUBJECT: FELONY AGGRAVATED ASSAULT,
POSSESSION OF A FIREARM BY A CONVICTED FELON

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland
Falcon reports the arrest of Jeramey A. Johnson, 33, of 109 Polk Street, Houma,
LA, on charges related to a pair of incidents south of Napoleonville on
Deputies were dispatched to an area south of
Napoleonville at approximately 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday in connection with an
individual walking down a lane pointing a gun at pets as well as individuals.
Investigating deputies made contact with the
complainant as well as witnesses and obtained an identifiable description of
the alleged suspect.
Deputies located the suspect and identified him as
Jeramey A. Johnson. Deputies determined
that Johnson was a convicted felon.
While searching the area, deputies did recover a firearm believed to
have been discarded by Johnson.
Deputies also learned that Johnson was wanted in
connection with an incident two hours earlier in which he allegedly assaulted 5
individuals with a firearm.
Johnson was arrested, transported to the Assumption
Parish Detention Center and booked on counts of:
of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
Carrying of Weapons
Assault with a Firearm (5 Counts – Felony)
Once at the jail, Johnson made significant threats
against the arresting officers and their families.
Based on those actions, Johnson was charged with:
Intimidation (Threats – Felony)
Johnson remains incarcerated in the Assumption Parish
Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
