Public Intimidation / Felony - Wednesday, January 31, 2018

SUBJECT:      PUBLIC INTIMIDATION / FELONY TARIK DUPATY

 

PAINCOURTVILLE Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Tarik Dupaty, 19, of 124 Dupaty Lane, Paincourtville, LA, in connection with a family dispute.

On Tuesday morning, deputies were dispatched to a residence near Paincourtville.  Upon arrival, deputies determined that Dupaty had taken a set of keys from a relative and refused to return them.

Dupaty had left on foot prior to deputies arriving.  He was located but ran as deputies approached him.  Dupaty was apprehended a short time later.  He was arrested, transported to the Assumption Parish Detention Center where he was booked on charges of:

            *Criminal Mischief Tampering with Property

            *Resisting an Officer

            *Public Intimidation - Felony (Threats Towards Deputies)

Dupaty was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
