Arrest of Leon JohnLouis for Aggravated Rape - Friday, August 15, 2008
Sherriff Mike Waguespack reports that on Friday, August 15, 2008, APSO Detectives arrested Leon Johnlouis, 23 years of age, on a 23rd Judicial District Court warrant for two counts of Aggravated Rape of a twelve year old girl.
At the time of his arrest, Johnlouis was incarcerated at the Lafourche Parish Detention Center on unrelated charges.
APSO investigators were informed of the incidents after a complaint was filed with the Louisiana Office of Community Service.
The investigation into this matter revealed that the rapes occurred in late 2007 and early 2008 while Johnlouis resided with the girl's mother in Napoleonville.
At the time of his arrest Johnlouis was residing with relatives on Orange Grove Square in Thibodaux.
Johnlouis is presently incarcerated at the APSO Detention Center. Bond will be set by District Court.
