ILLEGAL POSSESSION / USE OF FIREARM BY JUVENILE

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports a verified complaint against a 16-year-old juvenile in connection with a shooting incident on August 25, 2019.

On the aforementioned date, deputies responded to the Jerome Court area near Napoleonville in reference to a subject shooting a firearm in a residential area.

Deputies responded and were able to recover a handgun and subsequently identified a suspect.

A verified complaint was filed against the juvenile and he was processed accordingly on Thursday for:

*Illegal Possession of a Handgun by a Juvenile
*Illegal Use of Weapons or Dangerous Instrumentalities

The juvenile was released to the custody of another agency for whom he was incarcerated previously.
