SUBJECT: DOMESTIC INCIDENT – BRUCE J. KNOCKUM
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Bruce J. Knockum, 60, of 125 James Street, Bertrandville, LA, on felony charges arising out of a complaint on Saturday evening.
Deputies were dispatched to a complaint near Bertrandville in connection with a disturbance between Bruce J. Knockum and a relative. Deputies were advised upon arrival that the situation had resolved itself.
Upon conducting a computer inquiry, it was determined that there was a warrant for Bruce J. Knockum in connection to an incident which occurred on August 8, 2021 at a Plattenville business. Upon arrival, deputies interviewed the complainant who reported that Bruce J. Knockum had come to this business establishment and was angered over an issue related to money. At some point, Bruce J. Knockum struck the victim with a closed fist. Knockum then allegedly exited the business and went to the victim’s car causing damage to it. Bruce J. Knockum had left the scene prior to deputies arriving.
Deputies applied for and were granted arrest warrants for Bruce J. Knockum. He was arrested on Saturday on charge of:
*Domestic Abuse Battery
*Simple Criminal Damage to Property
Bruce J. Knockum remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
