AGGRAVATED ASSAULT WITH A FIREARM – ALINE MARIE JOSEPH

BELLE ROSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Aline Marie Joseph, 35, of 173 Frank Lane, Belle Rose, LA, on felony charges arising out of a September 26, 2021 incident on Pleasant Lane near Belle Rose.

On the aforementioned date, uniformed patrol deputies responded to a complaint in which an individual had been shot at.

Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the complainant who was also a victim. That individual indicated that as he was driving on Pleasant Lane, he observed an individual standing in the doorway of a home in a shooting position. The victim in the vehicle as well as one other occupant victim heard what they perceived as a gunshot.

Deputies also interviewed an independent witness who stated that he observed an individual standing in the doorway pointing a gun and then discharging that firearm.

Deputies were able to identify a suspect, now identified as Aline Marie Joseph. The suspect could not be located at the time of the incident. Deputies requested and were granted arrest warrants for Aline Marie Joseph.

Deputies located and arrested Aline Marie Joseph on Friday and booked her into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Aggravated Assault with a Firearm (2 Counts)

Aline Marie Joseph remains incarcerated in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
