ARMED ROBBERY WITH A FIREARM – SWORN VERIFIED COMPLAINTS
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the filing of verified complaints against four (4) juveniles in connection with an armed robbery that occurred in Napoleonville in late May.
On or about May 31, 2022, Deputies responded to a complaint of an armed robbery at a location near St. Mary Street.
Deputies took the initial complaint and at some point, notified detectives.
An investigation commenced by detectives. During the course of the investigation, detectives determined that four individuals had approached a vehicle that was parked and occupied by the intended victim and another juvenile. The suspects robbed the victim of personal property and fled.
Detectives determined the juvenile located in the vehicle with the victim was a willing participant in the armed robbery.
At the conclusion of the investigation, detectives filed verified complaints against four individuals with one suspect remaining to be identified.
Two of the suspects were taken into custody on June 2, 2022, one on June 6, 2022, and the last on June 7, 2022.
Three of the suspects were held in custody while the fourth was released to a parent.
Two of the suspects were 16 years of age while two were age 15.
