AGGRAVATED FLIGHT – KANTRALL JOSEPH DUNCAN
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Kantrall Joseph Duncan, 26, of 100 Ridgeway Street, Thibodaux, LA, on felony charges arising out of a traffic complaint south of Napoleonville, LA on May 19, 2020.
On the aforementioned date, deputies responded to a complaint of street racing and located vehicles in the vicinity of where the complaint originated. Deputies observed the organization of what appeared to be a street race and attempted to contact the parties involved. When doing so, the persons involved attempted to flee and engaged deputies in pursuit.
The pursuit continued on for some time at speeds in excess of 120 mph.
At some point, the suspect loss control of his vehicle and crashed. Upon approaching the vehicle, the driver, now identified as Kantrall Joseph Duncan, exited the vehicle. Duncan was injured and was eventually transported to a hospital for medical treatment.
Warrants were obtained for Duncan’s arrest.
Kantrall Joseph Duncan was arrested on December 4, 2021, by the Thibodaux Police Department.
Kantrall Joseph Duncan was transported to Assumption Parish on Tuesday and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Aggravated Flight from an Officer
*Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
*Careless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
*Driving on Roadway Laned for Traffic
Kantrall Joseph Duncan remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
