AGGRAVATED FLIGHT – DRUG LAW VIOLATION
DONALD WAYNE DUNN, DEANTE MYLES WASHINGTON
PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Donald Wayne Dunn, III, 18, of 1005 East Greenbriar Drive, Gonzales, LA, and Deante Myles Washington, 20, of 141 Peterville Lane, Belle Rose, LA, on charges related to a traffic stop near Paincourtville early Friday.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and attempted to stop the vehicle. The incident occurred on LA 1 north of LA 70. The suspect fled at high speeds and then crossed over to LA 308 and headed north. The suspect vehicle was stopped on LA 308 and the driver, now identified as Donald Wayne Dunn was arrested.
During a search of the suspect vehicle, a quantity of marijuana was seized which was attributed to a passenger, now identified as Deante Myles Washington. He was then arrested.
Donald Wayne Dunn was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on a charge of:
*Aggravated Flight from an Officer
He remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
Deante Myles Washington was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on a charge of:
*Possession of Marijuana
He was released on his own recognizance.
