AGGRAVATED FLIGHT FROM AN OFFICER

LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of David Russell Hammond, 41, of 317 Maple Street, Labadieville, LA, following a pursuit in the Labadieville area on Friday.

At approximately 2:00 p.m., an I.C.E. assigned deputy was working special operations on LA 1 and attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation. The suspect vehicle failed to stop and engaged in a pursuit through several streets west of LA 1.

The deputy was able to complete the stop and identified the driver as David Russell Hammond. The suspect was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Center on charges of:

*Aggravated Flight from an Officer
*Turning Movements – Required Signals
*Careless Operation
*Stop Sign Violations
*License Plate Required
*Failure to Appear

David Russell Hammond was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
