AGGRAVATED SECOND-DEGREE BATTERY

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Charles Joseph Fair, 34, of 135 Matthew Street, Napoleonville, LA, following a traffic stop in Plattenville early Wednesday morning
A uniformed patrol officer conducted a stop of a vehicle on Spur 70. All the occupants were identified as was the driver, Charles Joseph Fair.
A warrants check revealed that Fair was wanted on multiple warrants including aggravated second-degree battery.
That warrant was the result of an incident at an event venue in Napoleonville on October 28, 2018. During the incident, the victim alleged that Charles Joseph Fair struck him in the face with a bottle. Deputies observed significant injuries to the victim’s head and face which required medical treatment.
Deputies filed charges at the time but Fair was not located until this traffic stop.
Fair was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Aggravated Second-Degree Battery
*Failure to Appear for Motions on Charges of Possession of Schedule II Controlled Dangerous
Substances
Fair was incarcerated and his bond has been set for $85,000.
