ANTI – BULLYING PRESENTATION – PIERRE PART ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
PIERRE PART – While we may not hear about the subject of bullying daily, Sheriff Leland Falcon recognizes it to not only be a national issue, but one that hits close to home as well.
“Bullying is a serious problem in classrooms from north to south and east to west. It is a problem that we as local officials must address at every opportunity possible,” Sheriff Falcon said.
On Tuesday, Sheriff’s Office staff gave a presentation at the Pierre Part Elementary School. The goal is to create awareness to the issue of bullying and to encourage kids not to bully others. “We want children to know that we have your back when it comes to bullying,” Falcon said.
Sheriff’s Office personnel participating in Tuesday’s event were Captain Rodney Rhodes, Detectives Shawanda Lemon and Chet Breaux, Captain Donnie Calamia, D.A.R.E. Officer Kelli Ratcliff, Sgt. Thorne Brown and Lt. Jared Tabor, K-9 Officer.
Sheriff Falcon thanks the school administration for giving us the opportunity to speak on this most important subject.
