ARMED ROBBERY – DIVONE JARED DAVIS

PLATTENVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Divone Jared Davis, 33, of 174 Pecan Street, Bertrandville, LA, on felony charges arising from the armed robbery of a retail establishment on Spur 70 in Plattenville on May 24, 2024.

On the aforementioned date, deputies responded to a reported armed robbery of the business shortly before noon.

Deputies made contact with the complainant who advised that a masked individual entered the business, brandished a firearm, threatened the employee and a customer and demanded money. After obtaining an amount of cash, the suspect fled the area.

Detectives initiated an investigation and were able to identify Divone Jared Davis as the suspect in the robbery. Detectives applied for and were granted an arrest warrant for Divone Jared Davis as well as a search warrant for his residence.

The search warrant was executed on June 26, 2024. Detectives recovered evidence they believe is linked to the armed robbery.

Divone Jared Davis was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Armed Robbery
*Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
*Fugitive – St. Mary Parish

Divone Jared Davis remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
