ARMED ROBBERY – JEDARRIUS JAYLON BROWN

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Jedarrius Jaylon Brown, 20, of 433 Starlight Drive, Lafayette, LA, on felony armed robbery charges arising from an incident near Bayou L’Ourse on December 28, 2023.

On the aforementioned date, deputies responded to a complaint in the 200 block of Murial Street in reference to an armed robbery. Deputies made contact with the complainant / victim who indicated that he was walking in the area of LA 398 and LA 663 when he was approached by a male subject who attacked him. Shortly thereafter, multiple subjects wearing masks, some of which were armed, robbed him of cash.

Detectives initiated an investigation and were able to identify multiple suspects including Jedarrius Jaylon Brown.

As the investigation progressed, detectives secured arrest warrants for Jedarrius Jaylon Brown.

Jedarrius Jaylon Brown was most recently being held in the Lafayette Parish Correctional Facility on local charges there.

Jedarrius Jaylon Brown was released to the custody of the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office on March 05, 2025. Brown was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Armed Robbery
*Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile

Jedarrius Jaylon Brown remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
