ASSUMPTION GRADUATES TWO FROM LAFOURCHE TRAINING ACADEMY – JUDE VERRET, CLAY THIBODEAUX
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon is pleased to announce the recent graduation of Deputy Jude Verret and Deputy Clay Thibodeaux from the Level I, P.O.S.T. Training Academy conducted by the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office.
The training academy is a 12-week full-time training organization that instructs incoming deputies in a wide range of law enforcement related subjects covering over 535 hours.
During the academy, deputies undergo vigorous physical training as well as specialized instruction in firearms, tasers, use of force, search and seizure, culture diversity, report writing, accident investigation, traffic enforcement, domestic abuse investigation, child abuse, homicide and robbery investigations as well as a host of other related subjects. Cadets also learned how to recognize and conduct narcotics related investigations.
Deputies Verret and Thibodeaux will return to their assignments at the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Graduation ceremonies were held on Wednesday evening in Lafourche Parish.
Attending the graduation ceremonies were Sheriff Leland Falcon, Chief Deputy Bruce Prejean, Captain Rodney Rhodes and Sgt. Cody Schmill.
Sheriff Falcon congratulates Deputies Jude Verret and Clay Thibodeaux on this milestone accomplishment.
