ASSUMPTION PARISH SHERIFF’S DETECTIVES RECOGNIZED FOR WORK ON LAFOURCHE MURDER CASE
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon is pleased to announce that the Sheriff’s Office Detective Division received a Unit Commendation Award from the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office for their work on a recent murder case.
On or about September 17, 2023, Troymichael John Louis was reported missing in Lafourche Parish. The following day, detectives recovered his body in Assumption Parish from Bayou Lafourche.
After an exhaustive investigation, two suspects were arrested and are awaiting trial in Lafourche Parish.
The work performed by the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office Detective Division was instrumental in the case being solved in conjunction with the Lafourche, Terrebonne, East Baton Rouge and Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Offices.
