PHILLIP MEMS EDWARDS, III – BATTERY CHARGES

PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Phillip Mems Edwards III, 38, of 56020 Highway 404, White Castle, LA, on felony charges related to a domestic disturbance which occurred on September 8, 2022.

Deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of Day Springs Street in Belle River and made contact with the complainant / victim who advised that she was a passenger in the suspect’s vehicle when an argument erupted. That argument turned violent resulting in the suspect, now identified as Phillip Mems Edwards, III, repeatedly striking and causing noticeable injuries to the victim. The suspect departed the area prior to the investigating deputy’s arrival.

At the conclusion of the investigation, deputies obtained arrest warrants for Phillip Mems Edwards, III.

The Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Phillip Mems Edwards, III, on Friday. Edwards was transported to and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Second Degree Battery
*Battery of a Dating Partner

Phillip Mems Edwards, III was incarcerated and released on a $10,000 bond.
