BICYCLE STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATION, FUGITIVE
COREY LEE PERCLE – I.C.E. ARREST WARRANTS
BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Corey Lee Percle, 43, of 203 Field Road, Morgan City, LA on felony charges arising from a bicycle stop on LA 662 late Wednesday night.
A uniformed patrol deputy assigned to the I.C.E. detail observed a bicycle on LA 662 without required lighting. The deputy made contact with the individual and initiated an officer / violator interview. During the initial contact, the bicyclist provided the deputy with a fictitious name.
When confronted about his identity, the suspect fled but was quickly apprehended. The suspect was found to be in possession of methamphetamines and now identified as Corey Lee Percle. Percle was also wanted as a fugitive from St. Mary and Lafourche Parishes.
Corey Lee Percle was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute
*Resisting an Officer – 2 Counts
*Bicycles – Front Lamps, Rear Lamps, Side and Rear Reflectors Required Between
Sunset and Sunrise
*Fugitive Warrant – Lafourche Parish
*Fugitive Warrant – St. Mary Parish
Corey Lee Percle remains incarcerated with bond set at $30,000.
