NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon announces the promotions of Sergeant Bree Cavalier to the rank of Lieutenant and Deputy Thorne Brown to the rank of Sergeant effective June 1, 2020.
Cavalier becomes the first female officer to ever be ranked as Lieutenant in the Uniformed Patrol Division. She has been with the Sheriff’s Office since 2011. Cavalier is a P.O.S.T. certified deputy and has served in corrections, patrol, and D.A.R.E. Deputy Cavalier was promoted to Shift Sergeant of the Patrol Division in May of 2018. She is a 5-year member of the S.W.A.T. Team, serves as a certified crisis negotiator and is a rape aggression defense instructor.
Deputy Brown has been employed by the Sheriff’s Office for the past 3 years and is a P.O.S.T. certified deputy. During his basic training, Deputy Brown received the Marksmanship Award. Upon completion of training, Deputy Brown was assigned to the Uniformed Patrol Division. Deputy Brown is also a member of the Sheriff’s Office S.W.A.T. Team.
