DEPUTY KACI LEONARD COMPLETES BASIC TRAINING LAW-ENFORCEMENT ACADEMY

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon is pleased to announce that Deputy Kaci Leonard has successfully completed basic training at the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office Academy.

During her training, Deputy Leonard completed over 500 hours covering a period of approximately 16 weeks and is now a level I P.O.S.T. Certified Peace Officer.
The training program covers core law-enforcement subject’s including firearms proficiency, physical fitness, criminal and traffic investigations, search and seizure, sex crimes, narcotics, report preparation, community policing concepts as well as numerous other law enforcement related matters.

Graduation ceremonies were held Thursday evening in Thibodaux. Sheriff Leland Falcon and Chief Deputy Bruce Prejean were in attendance and welcomed Deputy Leonard as a member of the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office family.

Deputy Leonard will be assigned to the Uniformed Patrol Division.
