DEPUTY LARONTAE WESLEY RECOGNIZED FOR OUTSTANDING
ENFORCEMENT EFFORTS
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon is proud to recognize Deputy Larontae Wesley for his outstanding enforcement efforts. Over the past 12 months, Deputy Wesley conducted 725 enforcement stops which yielded 90 felony arrests. Deputy Wesley is an I.C.E. Unit officer.
Deputy Wesley received the award on Thursday at Troop C in Gray, LA.
The recognition award was presented by Troop C Commander, Frank Besson on behalf of Louisiana State Police, The South Central Regional Safety Coalition and The Bayou Chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving. The ceremony kicked off the “Zero for the Holidays” Kickoff Campaign. The project aims to record zero traffic fatalities in the Troop C area between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day.
The campaign is a combined effort with all law enforcement agencies in the Troop C area.
Sheriff Leland Falcon’s Office participated in the “Click It or Ticket” seatbelt enforcement project as well as the “Drive Over or Get Pulled Over” D.W.I. Enforcement Campaign earlier this year.
Sheriff Leland Falcon reminds all occupants of motor vehicles to utilize their seatbelt equipment, and to please Don’t Drink and Drive!
