DISTURBANCE – AGGRAVATED BATTERY WITH A DANGEROUS WEAPON – ASHTON KERRY AINSWORTH
PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Ashton Kerry Ainsworth, 34, of 2559 Highway 308, Labadieville, LA, on felony battery charges arising from an incident at a local wholesale / retail alcoholic beverage outlet early Sunday morning.
Deputies were dispatched to the establishment in reference to a fight. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the complainants who advised that Ashton Kerry Ainsworth had engaged in a fistic encounter and at some point, began swinging a large wooden object striking the victim. Ainsworth was still on scene as deputies investigated.
At the conclusion of the investigation, Ashton Kerry Ainsworth was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention on charges of:
*Aggravated Battery with a Dangerous Weapon
*Detainer-Louisiana Department Of Corrections, Probation and Parole
Ashton Kerry Ainsworth remains incarcerated with bond set at $10,000 for Aggravated Battery with a Dangerous Weapon. He was ordered held without bond on the probation violation.
Deputies did recover the alleged weapon involved in the altercation.
