DISTURBANCE, BATTERY ON A POLICE OFFICER
GABRIELLE JANAE OUBRE
LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Gabrielle Janae Oubre, 22, of 103 Carter Road, Belle Rose, La., on felony charges arising from a disturbance at an apartment complex in Labadieville.
Deputies were dispatched to the location in reference to a disturbance. Deputies made contact with the complainant who advised of a disturbance between neighboring tenants. While deputies were gathering information, Gabrielle Janae Oubre arrived at the location with another individual. Deputies believed that Gabrielle Janae Oubre was summoned to the location to partake in the escalating disturbance. Deputies instructed Oubre to leave but she refused to do so. As the deputy directed Gabrielle Janae Oubre to leave, she pushed the vehicle’s door open striking the deputy.
The deputy placed Gabrielle Janae Oubre under arrest, removed her from the vehicle, and took her into custody.
At the conclusion of the investigation, Gabrielle Janae Oubre was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Battery on a Police Officer
*Enter Remained After Being Forbidden
*Resisting an Officer
*Disturbing the Peace
Gabrielle Janae Oubre remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
