DISTURBANCE – FELONY ARREST – DESTONIE DRONET

BELLE ROSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Destonie Dronet, 20, of 6557 Highway 1, Klotzville, LA, on felony charges arising from a disturbance complaint at a Belle Rose business.

On Wednesday, a uniformed deputy was passing near a local retail outlet and was flagged down by an employee and advised of a disturbance inside of the business.  The deputy responded and made contact with employees as well as the suspect, now identified as Destonie Dronet.  The suspect allegedly spit on one of the employees and engaged the deputy into a physical confrontation.  The suspect was arrested and at the conclusion of the investigation, was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Battery Upon a Police Office

*Resisting an Officer

*Disturbing the Peace

*Simple Battery

Destonie Dronet remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
