DISTURBANCE – FELONY CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

BERTRANDVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Chaninthorn Jenice Cuney, 38, of 700 Henning Drive, Sulphur, La., on felony charges resulting from a disturbance on Tuesday afternoon at a residence in Bertrandville, La.
Deputies were dispatched to the location in question and were provided a description of a suspect vehicle which had purportedly caused extensive damage to private property at the location of the dispute. Deputies did notice severe damage to the vehicle as well.
Upon investigating the actual crime scene and circumstances which led up to this incident, deputies determined that a suspect and the victim were engaged in a dispute. The suspect, now identified as Chaninthorn Jenice Cuney, ran her vehicle into several automobiles as well as a home and other personal property.
Chaninthorn Jenice Cuney was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Felony Criminal Damage to Property
*Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle with an Accident.
Chaninthorn Jenice Cuney is incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
