DISTURBANCE – FELONY GUN LAW VIOLATIONS

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Dionte Sharoid Truehill, 27, of 215 Pierre Street, Paincourtville, LA, on charges related to a disturbance near Napoleonville on Saturday evening.

On Saturday evening, deputies were dispatched to an area within the village limits of Napoleonville to disperse a crowd of people. While attempting to do so, deputies observed the aforementioned suspect fire a number of shots from a handgun. As deputies attempted to confront Dionte Truehill, he attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended. Deputies also recovered the firearm.

During the arrest process, deputies confirmed that Truehill was a convicted felon. Dionte Sharoid Truehill was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
*Illegal Use of Weapons

Dionte Sharoid Truehill was released on bond on Sunday.
