DISTURBANCE – FIREARMS INVOLVED
KIRBY DEWAYNE DARENSBOURG

BERTRANDVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Kirby Dewayne Darensbourg, 17, of 132 Jacobs Street, Bertrandville, LA, arising from an incident near Bertrandville on Thursday afternoon.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of Jacobs Street in reference to a disturbance with firearms involved. Deputies made contact with the complainant / victim and advised that Kirby Dewayne Darensbourg had fired a gun at him during a verbal dispute.

Detectives initiated an investigation and at the conclusion arrested Kirby Dewayne Darensbourg. The suspect, Darensbourg, was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Illegal Use of Firearms or Dangerous Instrumentalities
*Aggravated Assault with a Firearm

Kirby Dewayne Darensbourg remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
