DISTURBANCE / FLIGHT – JOEL THOMAS GASPARD
PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Joel Thomas Gaspard, 47, of 124 Pine Street, Labadieville, LA, on felony battery charges arising from a fight at a residence on Breaux Street in Pierre Part on Tuesday afternoon.
Deputies were dispatched to the location and located one victim suffering from moderate injuries. The victim advised deputies that an individual now identified as Joel T. Gaspard had beaten him. At the time deputies arrived, Gaspard had departed the scene. He was located and arrested a short time later.
Based on witness accounts and physical evidence, Joel Thomas Gaspard was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Second Degree Battery
*Simple Criminal Damage to Property
*Criminal Trespass
Joel Thomas Gaspard remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
The victim was transported by Acadian Ambulance to a healthcare facility for treatment.
