DISTURBANCE – MULTIPLE FELONY AND MISDEMEANOR CHARGES

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Jeremy Brown, 19 of 6751 Highway 308, Donaldsonville, La., Samyah Syanne Butler, 21, of 211 Bald Eagle Dr., Lafayette, La., and Kizzy Marie Martin, 44, of B108 Solar Trailer Court, Thibodaux, La., On multiple felony and misdemeanor charges arising from an incident near Napoleonville on Wednesday afternoon. Deputies were dispatched to a location in reference to a disturbance involving two individuals.
The deputy made contact with one of the parties involved in the matter as well as the complainant who advised this incident was a continuation of an issue that developed a day prior.
During the investigation, deputies attempted to defuse the situation, but an individual now identified as Samyah Syanne Butler became uncooperative. At some point, deputies attempted to arrest Samyah Butler, but she resisted those efforts. Samyah Butler was taken into custody.
Jeremy Brown interjected himself into the investigation which had made its way onto the property of an area school. Brown became unruly and was requested by deputies to leave the school property. As the situation progressed and the threat to public safety increased, deputies attempted to arrest Jeremy Brown and a juvenile. Both attempted to flee. The deputy was able to catch up to Brown, but Brown engaged the deputy in a physical confrontation. Jeremy Brown was eventually arrested.
A third suspect, now identified as Kizzy Marie Martin, was arrested after instructing a juvenile who was involved in the incident to flee.
At the conclusion of the investigation, deputies arrested Jeremy Brown, Samyah Butler, and Kizzy Marie Martin.
Jeremy Brown was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Terrorizing
*Resisting an Officer by Force or Violence
*Disturbing the Peace
*Enter / Remaining After Being Forbidden
*Violation of Uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Law
*Possession of Marijuana
*Contributing to the Delinquency of Juveniles
Jeremy Brown remains incarcerated with his bond set at $500,000.
Samyah Syanne Butler was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Contributing to the Delinquency of Juveniles
*Disturbing the Peace
*Enter / Remain After Being Forbidden
*Resisting an Officer
Samyah Syanne Butler remains incarcerated with her bond set at $5,000.00.
Kizzy Marie Martin was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
* Contributing to the Delinquency of Juveniles
*Interfering with a Law Enforcement Investigation
Kizzy Marie Martin was released on bond.
