DISTURBANCE – RESISTING AN OFFICER – JAWAIN MICHAEL LONDON
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Jawain Michael London, 27, of 312 Washington Street, Napoleonville, LA, on felony charges arising from a disturbance late Sunday night.
A uniformed patrol deputy was notified of a disturbance in the area of Washington Street. The deputy made contact with the individuals on scene including Jawain Michael London.
Upon approaching London, deputies noted the suspect to be carrying a piece of pipe in each hand and appeared to be engaged in a confrontation. London went to his vehicle and disposed of the two pipes. However, London was refusing to comply with the deputy’s instructions.
Deputies then noticed a large caliber firearm in the suspect’s pant pocket. Jawain Michael London was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Disturbing the Peace
*Resisting an Officer
*Illegal Carrying of Weapons
Deputies did recover and seized the handgun.
Jawain Michael London was released on a $60,000 bond.
