DISTURBANCE – RESISTING ARREST BY FORCE OR VIOLENCE

BELLE ROSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Travis Nathaniel Williams, 26, of 307 Highway 1003, Belle Rose, La., on felony charges arising from a disturbance complaint in the 300 Block of La.1003 South of Belle Rose on Friday evening. Responding deputies were notified that Travis Nathaniel Williams was armed with a knife.
Deputies made contact with multiple complainants who advised that an argument erupted between them and Travis Nathaniel Williams during which Williams threatened the complainants with a knife.
Deputies located Travis Nathaniel Williams inside the home associated with the complainant and attempted to arrest Williams. At which time he violently resisted those efforts, but deputies were able to take him into custody.
Travis Nathaniel Williams was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Resisting an Officer by Force or Violence
*Aggravated Assault with a Dangerous Weapon
*Disturbing the Peace – Intoxication
Travis Nathaniel Williams remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
