DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE – TREVONTA JONATHAN CARGO

BELLE ROSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Trevonta Jonathan Cargo, 26, of 1111 St. Vincent Street, Donaldsonville, LA, on felony charges following a domestic disturbance near Belle Rose on Friday evening.

Deputies responded to the domestic complaint and spoke to the caller. She advised that she was in a domestic relationship with the accused. The two engaged in an argument which led to deputies being called.

Responding deputies interviewed both parties. During a records check, it was determined that a protective order was in place and the two participants were not allowed to be in each other’s presence.

Trevonta Jonathan Cargo was arrested. Cargo was searched incidental to arrest. Upon arrival at the detention center, corrections officers conducted a personal search of the person of Cargo. At this time a quantity of marijuana was seized.

Trevonta Jonathan Cargo was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Violation of a Protective Order
*Taking of Contraband to/from a Penal Institution

Trevonta Jonathan Cargo remains incarcerated with a bond set at $22,500.
