DOMESTIC INCIDENT – KEELTA LASHA JUNIFER

BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Keelta Lasha Junifer, 31, of 146 Jamie Court, Bayou L’Ourse, LA, on felony aggravated battery charges arising from a domestic incident early Monday in Bayou L’Ourse.

Deputies were dispatched to the aforementioned address and made contact with Keelta Lasha Junifer who advised that she and her domestic partner had an altercation which she termed verbal. At some point during the incident, the partner damaged property belonging to Keelta Lasha Junifer. The partner left the residence and was eventually located by Morgan City Police.

Deputies continued their investigation and at the conclusion, did file criminal charges against Keelta Lasha Junifer. She was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Aggravated Battery with a Dangerous Weapon
*Domestic Abuse Battery with Child Endangerment

Keelta Lasha Junifer remains incarcerated with bond set at $175,000.

As a result of the investigation, deputies did seize a knife believed to have caused injury to the victim.

Deputies also determined that at the time of this incident, two minor children were present.
