DOMESTIC INCIDENT – AGGRAVATED BATTERY

BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Samantha Broussard, 38, of 272 Vivian Street, Bayou L’Ourse, LA, on felony battery charges arising from an incident which occurred on March 01, 2025, at a residence in Bayou L’Ourse.
On the aforementioned date, deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 1000 block of LA 398. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the complainant who advised that he was previously in a relationship with Samantha Broussard and they were now estranged. The complainant advised that Broussard had come to his home and was unruly and at some point punched him in the face. Samantha Broussard then allegedly struck the complainant in the lower extremities with a lamp.
Investigating deputies observed evidence consistent with the allegations lodged by the complainant.
Deputies obtained a warrant for the arrest of Samantha Broussard.
Samantha Broussard was in the custody of the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office. Broussard was released to the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office on December 19, 2025. Broussard was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Aggravated Battery
Samantha Broussard remains incarcerated with bond set at $50,000.
