DOMESTIC INCIDENT – CHILD ENDANGERMENT
TAIJON STERLING SMITH , CRANISHA LATAVIA HENRY
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Taijon Sterling Smith, 22, of 213 Highway 1003, Belle Rose, LA, on felony charges arising from an incident Friday evening in Napoleonville.
Deputies were dispatched near a retail business establishment in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the complainant, now identified as Cranshia Latavia Henry. During the process of investigating the complaint, deputies determined that Cranshia Latavia Henry was wanted on a warrant for Failure to Appear in Assumption Parish. Cranshia Latavia Henry was immediately arrested.
Deputies were able to determine that a confrontation involving Taijon Sterling Smith and the complainant occurred. The two were in a domestic relationship. During the incident, the complainant stated that Smith had repeatedly struck her in the face causing injury to her face and at one point, pointed a gun at her. During the incident, children were present.
At the conclusion of the investigation, deputies did recover a firearm and other evidence supporting the victim’s version of events.
Taijon Sterling Smith was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Aggravated Assault of a Dating Partner
*Domestic Abuse Battery with Child Endangerment
Taijon Sterling Smith remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing
Cranshia Latavia Henry was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Failure to Appear in Court in Assumption Parish on a Charge of Unauthorized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling
Cranshia Latavia Henry remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
