DOMESTIC INCIDENT WITH CHILD ENDANGERMENT – DANIEL J. PLAISANCE, JR., AMANDA KAY FONTENOT

PAINCOURTVILLE– Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Daniel J. Plaisance, Jr., 37, of 119 Claiborne St., Pierre Part, La., and Amanda K. Fontenot, 45, of 119 Claiborne St., Pierre Part, La., on felony charges arising from a domestic incident on Wednesday at a retail business establishment east of Paincourtville.

Deputies were dispatched to the location in reference to a disturbance and made contact with the parties involved, now identified as Daniel J. Plaisance, Jr., and Amanda K. Fontenot. Deputies initiated an investigation and received information indicating that Plaisance and Fontenot had engaged in a physical altercation.

Deputies observed Daniel J. Plaisance, Jr., threatening Amanda K. Fontenot. At the time of the incident, there was a minor present.

At the conclusion of the investigation, deputies did determine that Plaisance and Fontenot were in a domestic relationship at the time of this incident and had engaged in the crime of domestic abuse battery upon each other.

Daniel J. Plaisance, Jr. was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Domestic Abuse Battery with Child Endangerment
*Resisting an Officer

Amanda K. Fontenot was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
* Domestic Abuse Battery with Child Endangerment

Daniel J. Plaisance, Jr. and Amanda Kay Fontenot remain incarcerated pending bond hearings.
