DRUG – GUN LAW VIOLATIONS
AMANDA MARIE BLANCHARD
LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Amanda Marie Blanchard, 40, of 4855 Highway 1, Napoleonville, LA, on felony drug and gun law violations arising out of a civil complaint at a residence in the 400 block of LA 1012 near Labadieville, LA.
Deputies responded to a complaint at the aforementioned location on Thursday afternoon. After investigating the original complaint, deputies concluded that the dispute was civil in nature.
During the investigation, the deputy observed a shotgun on the rear seat of the vehicle occupied by Amanda Marie Blanchard. The deputy requested consent to search the vehicle. In addition to the shotgun, a large caliber handgun was seized and subsequently identified as stolen. Deputies also seized a quantity of suspected marijuana which was attributed to Amanda Marie Blanchard as well as the firearms.
Amanda Marie Blanchard was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of a Stolen Firearm
*Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana
*Illegal Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of Controlled Dangerous Substances
Amanda Marie Blanchard remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
