PAINCOURTVILLE– Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Damian Michael Cedotal, 42, of 5828 Highway 1, Napoleonville, LA.

In the early morning hours on Saturday, a deputy on patrol observed a suspicious vehicle in the 600 block of LA 403 west of Paincourtville.

Responding deputies located the subject of the complaint, now identified as Damian Michael Cedotal driving the automobile.

During the officer / violator interview, the deputy noted numerous actions consistent with illegal activity and decided to investigate further. That process led to the seizure of amphetamine and a firearm.

At the conclusion of the investigation, Damian Michael Cedotal was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Illegal Carrying of Weapon in Presence of CDS (Felony)
*Possession of Amphetamine (Felony)
*Operating Vehicle with Suspended License; Other Offenses
*Expired or Cancelled License Plate
*Expired Motor Vehicle Inspection
*Turning Movements and Required Signals

Damian Michael Cedotal remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
