DRUG LAW VIOLATION, CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

BAYOU L’OURSE– Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Luke Joseph Legnon, 43, of 130 Legnon Court, Bayou L’Ourse, LA, on felony drug and child pornography charges following an investigation by Sheriff’s detectives.

On August 30, 2023, the Sheriff’s Office initiated an investigation following a tip received concerning child pornography. As a result of the ensuing investigation, detectives applied for and were granted a search warrant for a residence located at 130 Legnon Court.

On October 10, 2023, deputies and detectives converged on the residence at the aforementioned address and executed the search warrant. During that process, a quantity of methamphetamine was seized. Luke Joseph Legnon was arrested and booked on a felony possession charge.

Detectives continued their investigation and obtained an arrest warrant on Luke Joseph Legnon charging him with four (4) counts of pornography involving juveniles.

Luke Joseph Legnon was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on October 10, 2023, on a charge of:

*Possession of Methamphetamine

On October 11, 2023, Luke Joseph Legnon was booked on additional charges of:

*Pornography Involving Juveniles – 4 Counts – Registration as a Sex Offender Required

Luke Joseph Legnon remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
