DRUG LAW VIOLATION / TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS
CODY JOHN THERIOT and JEWEL ANNE ROSS

PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Cody John Theriot, 41, of 322 Shell Beach Road, Pierre Part, LA and Jewel Anne Ross, 37, of 224 North Verret Street, Morgan City, LA, on felony drug charges arising from a Thursday evening traffic stop in Pierre Part.

A uniformed patrol officer observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation in the 1200 block of LA 70.

The deputy initiated a stop of the vehicle and made contact with both occupants, now identified as Cody John Theriot and Jewel Ann Ross. Both subjects displayed activity consistent with illicit drug use.

The deputy requested and obtained consent to search the vehicle. As a result of that search, a quantity of heroin was seized.

Both Theriot and Ross were arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges as follows:

As to Cody John Theriot:
*Possession of Heroin
*Speeding

As to Jewel Anne Ross:
*Possession of Heroin

Both Cody John Theriot and Jewel Anne Ross remain incarcerated pending bond hearings.
