DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS
LATIYA QUINETA ADAMS, MICHAEL A. JONES

BELLE ROSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Latiya Quineta Adams, 40, of 111 Peterville Lane, Belle Rose, LA, and Michael A. Jones, 59, of 283 Klotzville Lane, Belle Rose, LA, on felony charges arising from a traffic incident near Grisaffe Lane in Belle Rose.

A uniformed patrol officer observed a vehicle parked in the roadway in violation and made contact with the driver, now identified as Michael A. Jones. The deputy noted Adam’s to be rattled by the deputy’s sudden presence.

There was a second subject in the vehicle, now identified as Latiya Quineta Adams.

The deputy noted controlled dangerous substances in plain view on the vehicle floorboard.

The suspects consented to a search of the vehicle which resulted in the seizure of additional crack cocaine as well as assorted paraphernalia.

Both Latiya Quinetta Adams and Michael A. Jones were arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center as follows:

*As to Michael A. Jones:
-Possession of Crack Cocaine
-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
-Insurance Security Required
-Driving Under a Suspended Driver’s License
-Stopping, Standing or Parking Outside a Business or Residence

*As to Latiya Quineta Adams:
-Possession of Crack Cocaine
-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
-Possession of Alcoholic Beverages in Motor Vehicle

Both Michael A. Jones and Latiya Quineta Adams remain incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
