DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS
BRANDI MARIE DEAN – I.C.E. ARREST
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Brandi Marie Dean, 38, of 129 Matthew Street, Bertrandville, LA, on multiple drug charges arising from a traffic stop on LA 1 near Napoleonville on Friday.
A uniformed patrol deputy assigned to the I.C.E. detail observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and executed a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver now identified as Drace Joseph Silver 19, of 204 Baptist Circle, Houma, LA. The deputy interviewed the driver and noted a strong odor of suspected marijuana emitting from the vehicle. The deputy further noted suspicious movement by a female as she occupied the passenger capsule of the vehicle.
The deputy made contact with the passenger now identified as Brandi Marie Dean and engaged her in the interview process. At a point during the investigation, the deputy summoned a K-9 to the stop location. The K-9 conducted an open-air sniff of the vehicle and alerted positive for the presence of controlled dangerous substances. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of illegal drugs which were attributed to Brandi Marie Dean.
Deputies arrested Brandi Marie Dean and booked her into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Sale, Distribution or Possession of a Legend Drug without a Prescription or Order
*Possession of Klonopin
*Possession of Alcoholic Beverages in a Motor Vehicle
Brandi Marie Dean posted a $10,000 commercial bond.
Drace Joseph Silver was cited for disregarding a stop sign and released with a court date.
