FAILURE TO APPEAR – AGGRAVATED ASSAULT ON A PEACE OFFICE, PROBATION VIOLATION – LEEROY J. PLAISANCE
PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Leeroy J. Plaisance, 34, of 119 Claiborne Street, Pierre Part, LA, on multiple charges following the execution of a search warrant at the aforementioned address on Wednesday evening.
Leeroy J. Plaisance was previously arrested in Assumption Parish and as a result of that arrest pled guilty to the charge of Aggravated Assault Upon a Peace Officer on April 17, 2025. Leeroy J Plaisance was sentenced to a term of 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections. That sentence was suspended and Leeroy J. Plaisance was placed on supervised probation for 18 months and ordered to comply with special conditions. Leeroy J. Plaisance failed to comply with those conditions resulting in a warrant being issued for his arrest on September 4, 2025.
On Wednesday evening, deputies executed a search warrant at 119 Claiborne Street in Pierre Part and arrested Leeroy J. Plaisance.
Deputies booked Plaisance into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Probation / Parole Warrant
*Failure to Appear in Court in Assumption Parish on a Count of:
-Aggravated Assault on a Peace Officer
*Resisting an Officer – 3 Counts
Leeroy J. Plaisance was ordered held without bond on the Probation / Parole warrant and bond on the Failure to Appear charges was set at $1,731.50 cash only.
Bond on the three counts of Resisting an Officer has been set at $15,000.
