FAILURE TO APPEAR – DOMESTIC ABUSE BATTERY

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Maurice Anthony Babin, 33, of 1665 St. Francis Lane, St. Gabriel, La., on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in court in Assumption Parish.

Maurice Anthony Babin was previously arrested in Assumption Parish on a charge of Domestic Abuse Battery. As a result of that arrest, Maurice Anthony Babin was ordered to appear for trial on October 29,2024 and failed to do so. As a result, A warrant was issued for the arrest of Maurice Anthony Babin on October 29, 2024.

Maurice Anthony Babin was arrested near Napoleonville after he was involved in a domestic disturbance in the 4400 Block of LA. 308.

Maurice Anthony Babin was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on a charge of:
*Failure to Appear in Court in Assumption Parish on a count of:
– Domestic Abuse Battery

Maurice Anthony Babin was ordered held without bond.
