FAILURE TO APPEAR – DRUG LAW VIOLATION

BAYOU L’OURSE –Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Shauntell Nicole Hartdegen, 37, of 199 St. Mary Street, Amelia, La., on felony drug charges following a Thursday afternoon incident on Elaine Street in Bayou L’Ourse, La.
An I.C.E. Unit deputy observed Shauntell Nicole Hartdegen riding a bicycle and was aware of outstanding warrants charging her with Failure to Appear in Court in Assumption Parish.
The deputy approached Hartdegen and as he did so, she began to run. Hartdegen was quickly apprehended.
Once detained, Hartdegen began to move around and deputies noticed a pouch she was attempting to conceal. Upon further investigation, deputies located a quantity of meth-amphetamine inside the pouch.
Shauntell Nicole Hartdegen was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine with Intent to Distribute
*Resisting an Officer
*Failure to Appear-Driving Under Suspension and Careless Operations
*Failure to Appear – Flight from an Officer
Shauntell Nicole Hartdegen was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
