FAILURE TO APPEAR – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS
YAMIRKA GIGLIO

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Yamirka Giglio, 37, of 123 Carrol Street, Walker, LA, on a warrant charging her with Failure to Appear in Court in Assumption Parish on felony drug charges as well as a probation violation.

Yamirka Giglio was previously arrested in Assumption Parish on charges of Obstruction of Justice and Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was subsequently convicted. Giglio was placed on supervised probation for 18 months and ordered to abide by specific conditions. Additionally, as condition of her sentence, Giglio was ordered to appear in court for a review hearing and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for the arrest of Yamirka Giglio on July17, 2023 for Failure to Appear.

A warrant was also issued for Giglio’s arrest by the Louisiana Department of Corrections, Division of Probation and Parole for a probation violation on July 20, 2023, due to failure to obey the conditions of probation.

Yamirka Giglio was arrested by the Denham Springs Police Department on October 1, 2023, on the Assumption Parish warrants. Yamirka Giglio was transported and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Failure to Appear – Assumption Parish for:
-Possession of Methamphetamine

Bond on that charge is set at $1,451.20, Cash only.

*Probation Violation

Yamirka Giglio was ordered held without bond.
