FAILURE TO APPEAR – FELONY DRUG CHARGES – DANA SIMMONS

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Dana Simmons, 59, of 37314 Highway 74, Geismar, LA, on a warrant charging her with Failure to Appear in Court in Assumption Parish on felony drug charges.

Dana Simmons was previously arrested in Assumption Parish and as a result of that arrest was ordered to appear in court on August 16, 2021. Dana Simmons failed to appear as ordered resulting in a warrant being issued for her arrest on August 18, 2021.

On August 1, 2025, the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office was notified that Dana Simmons was in the custody of the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Dana Simmons was released to the custody of the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office on October 20, 2025.

Dana Simmons was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Failure to Appear in Court in Assumption Parish on August 16, 2021, on a Count of:
-Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance
-Detainer – Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office

Dana Simmons was released to the custody of the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office.
