FAILURE TO APPEAR – FELONY DRUG CHARGES

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Ryan Dale Smith, 41, of 819 Swift Road, Morse, LA, on a warrant charging him with Failure to Appear in Court in Assumption Parish on felony drug charges.

Ryan Dale Smith was previously arrested in Assumption Parish on a charge of Possession of Xanax (Alprazolam). As a result of that arrest, Ryan Dale Smith was ordered to appear in court on May 19, 2025. Ryan Dale Smith failed to appear as ordered resulting in a warrant being issued for his arrest on May 21, 2025.

The Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office was notified by the Kaplan Police Department that Ryan Dale Smith was in their custody on August 10, 2025.

Ryan Dale Smith was released to the custody of the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office on October 20, 2025.

Ryan Dale Smith was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Failure to Appear in Court in Assumption Parish on May 19, 2025, on a Count of:
-Possession of Xanax (Alprazolam)
-Detainer – Vermillion Parish Sheriff’s Office

Ryan Dale Smith was released to the custody of the Vermillion Parish Sheriff’s Office.
